Varenya
Jayawaham Consultancy Private Limited (“we”) makes Varenya, a coach for couples. Part 1 covers your Varenya account; part 2 covers the waitlist. Today the app keeps no conversations; before it does, this policy will change and we will ask you again.
Delete your Varenya account or waitlist email
In the app: Settings → Delete my account. It happens at once.
On the web: write to admin@jayawaham.org from the email address you signed in or joined with, with the subject “Delete my Varenya data”. We delete your email, your sign-in, your name, the link with your partner and your waitlist entry within 30 days, and write back to confirm.
That is everything we hold about you; nothing is kept afterwards.
Part 1 · Your account
What we keep
Your email address (to send your sign-in code), the name you choose, that you confirmed you are 18 or over, which version of this policy you agreed to and when, and, if you link with a partner, that the two of you are linked. While an invite is open, its code, for at most 48 hours. Nothing else: no phone number, no contacts, no location, no microphone, no photos, no device identifiers, and no analytics in the app.
Who sees what
Your partner sees the name you chose, and that you are linked. Never your email. We (Jayawaham) can see your account to run the service and to answer you; nobody else.
On your phone
Your sign-in is kept in the app’s own private storage so you stay signed in. It is not included in phone backups. Signing out removes it.
Where it is kept
In our database with Supabase, which stores it for us on our instructions, in Mumbai, India, over an encrypted connection. Sign-in codes are emailed through Resend, from its servers in Japan, which handle your address only to deliver the code and report whether it arrived. We note whether our emails are opened and which links in them are clicked, to know they arrived.
How long, unlinking and deleting
Until you delete your account. An unused invite code is deleted after 48 hours. Either partner can unlink at any time, without the other agreeing; the other sees that you unlinked. Deleting your account removes your email, your sign-in, your name and the link with your partner.
Part 2 · The waitlist
The waitlist in the Varenya app and on jayawaham.org/varenya.
What we keep
Your email address, the date you joined, where you joined (the Varenya app or jayawaham.org/varenya), and which version of this policy you agreed to. Nothing else: no name, no contacts, no location, no microphone, no device identifiers, and no analytics on the app or the page.
When we write to you, we note whether our email was opened and which links in it were clicked, to know it arrived.
Why
Only to write to you when Varenya opens, and to invite you to test it if you would like to. We will not send marketing, sell your email, or share it with anyone.
Where it is kept
In our database with Supabase, which stores it for us on our instructions, in Mumbai, India. It travels over an encrypted connection. Our emails are sent through Resend, from its servers in Japan, which handle your address only to deliver them and report whether they arrived.
How long
Until we have written to you that Varenya is open, and then for at most 90 days, after which it is deleted. If Varenya never opens, we delete the list within 90 days of deciding that.
For both parts
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it at any time: write to admin@jayawaham.org. We do it within 30 days and tell you when it is done.
Questions and complaints
Our Grievance Officer is Ranjit Raj R, Director, reachable at admin@jayawaham.org. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
Varenya and its waitlist are for adults, 18 and over.
Changes
If this policy changes, its version changes, and we will not use your information for any new purpose without asking you again.
